1)
Important Information:

Meta-Tag Keyword -  WILL NOT just be found by these. It is important to fully explain BizSub to the client when signing up - this will cover ourselves and yourself to save a customer coming back in a couple of weeks time asking why they can't be found by "websites" for example. As long as we/you explain BizSub in full, and what will happen once signed up - we will never receive any complaints. BizSub is a successful service - providing the customer is willing to work with Britnett in any changes we feel necessary to the site. Britnett will always assist with the optimisation of a website prior to Submission.

The Next 4 points are vital steps with your site to get the site optimised for BizSub:

2)
Meta-tag Keywords:

Your meta-tag keywords are very important. These can be one or two words, separated by commas and a space. Please choose these keywords carefully. It is important to know that you should not have lots and lots of keywords on the understanding that you will be indexed higher – this is not the case.  With search engines it is all based on relevance. Please only choose keywords that will be included somewhere in your website, particularly on your Index page.

Search engines will look at your meta-tag keywords and match them to information on your website. If there is no matches, or not enough matches (above 50%) – then you will not be ranked highly.

Think about what your business is about, and what you are trying to achieve, and what information you will have on your website before choosing your meta-tag keywords.

3)
Meta-tag Description:

After you have decided on your meta-tag keywords, it is time to write your meta-tag description.

Your meta-tag description should be a sentence, or a few sentences that make sense – but that are made up of your meta-tag keywords.
Search Engines will match the meta-tag keywords to the meta-tag description to start your web ranking.

Once again, this is not based on what size meta-tag description you have in your website – this is based on relevance. Please use most if not all of your meta-tag keywords in the meta-tag description.

4)
Your Index Page:

Your Index page, or the 1st page that customers come to on your website is the most important page. This is the page that the search engines will first look at.

First of all, the Search Engines will look at your meta-tag keywords, and match them to your meta-tag description, after doing this, they will then go to the Index page and check that they keywords are matched on the Index page. This is how search engines determine a genuine website from spam websites.

Please make sure that on your Index page you are including most if not all of your keywords – this will all match together with your meta-tag keywords to provide the search engines with your keywords as good search phrases.

5)
Headlines / Titles throughout the site:

This is the part that you need to think about how you would like to be found. The headlines/titles throughout your website are very important as to how a search engine will actually rank you in searches.

We ask that you think of a descriptive phrase that describes what you sell/promote and a location – as the majority of searches on Search Engines are done by typing in a product and then a location.

Example: try searching Google for Race courses, South East England – you will find
www.plumptonracecourse.co.uk – one of our current BizSub customers.

When you have thought of an appropriate phrase – please amend this on your Index page as you Headline.

It is also a very good idea to think about making some of your headlines throughout your website more descriptive. Think about how the search engines read data – they read text, and can't make up search results – you have to determine the results in your website to give them the right words that will come up in search results.
