You can now get PayPal to use Carvers shopping cart to sell your products online.

FIRST STEP:

You need to set up either a Premier or Business Account with PayPal first - without this done, Carver CANNOT talk to PayPal.

Then, to make the whole Shopping Cart process more professional - you need to get a PDF Identity Token from your PayPal account - follow the steps below to get one.

Once retrieved - please e-mail me it as soon as you can.

Input Screen: Edit Payment Settings - PayPal Website Payments Standard
Field: Payment Data Transfer (PDT) Identity Token

Subject: How to enable PDT and get a PDT token within PayPal

NOTE: PDT is only available in Premier and Business PayPal accounts. It is not supported in Personal PayPal accounts.

  1. Log on to PayPal.
  2. Click the My Account tab.
  3. Click on the Profile tab within My Account, as shown here:

  4. Within the Selling Preferences menu, click on Website Payments Preferences, as shown here:

  5. On the Website Payments Preferences page, there's a section near the top called Auto Return for Website Payments. Set Auto Return to On by clicking its radio button.

There's also a Return URL field. When you set Auto Return to On, you must enter a Return URL. Your web store shopping cart does not use that field, so it doesn't matter what URL you enter there. You may as well use the URL of your web site!

    These fields are shown here:

  6. Farther down the Website Payments Preferences page, there's a section called Payment Data Transfer. Set Payment Data Transfer to On by clicking its radio button as shown here:

  7. At the bottom of the page, click the Save button.
  8. After clicking Save, a message is displayed at the top of the page to tell you your settings have been saved.

Your PDT Identity Token was also generated - it appears in the message too.

The token is not emailed to you, but whenever you need it, simply go to this Website Payments Preferences page and scroll to the Payment Data Transfer section.

It will always appear below the PDT On/Off radio buttons, as shown here (in this image, it's blurred out):

This is basic set up.  Check with your Britnett Authorised Agent and thoroughly test the order system before roll out.

PayPal set up procedures may change - please check with Technical Support at PayPal.
