WHAT IS AN A RECORD?
An A record, also called a host record, is the record in your zone file that connects your domain name to your IP address. This allows a user to type in your domain name and access your Web files on the Internet. A records are the most common type of zone record.
*The  A record requires changing when associating a domain name with a Carver2 website.  Britnett Support and your AIA will help you with this.

HOW DO I ADD A LINK TO TEXT ON MY SITE?
First view the page you want to link to.  Copy the full URL (the long address in the address bar).  Go to the page in the Admin panel you want the link to come from.  Write the text that will become the link.  Highlight this text.  Click the Link Icon in the toolbar (just above the content box text) This will pop up a box with a wide field.  Past in your destination page URL hear and click OK.  Submit Change.

HOW DO I PROTECT MY WEBSITE CONTENT?
As with all software programs a backup is essential.  Britnett help you with this by backing up at the server each day.  Also Carver has a backup and restore option so in the event of a mistake you can restore your site to how it was previously.  But you must save all your site content (data) just as you would with your office files. HOW DO I ADD MORE THAN FIVE IMAGES TO A CONTENT PAGE?
Each Britnett-Carver content Page's has 5 browse buttons that allow the user to add images to the page.  If you need more simply up-load the required image's to the image library  Website > Image Library > Upload Input and then follow these instructions:

Now that you have your images in your image library - go to Website > Image Library > Upload Images.... select one of the images you have already uploaded, and click the link below the selection 'View Selected Image' - a new window will them appear - you need to copy the address of the image from the top of the new browser.

Then, go to edit your content page - firstly click the 'Insert Image' icon on the Toolbar, and it will ask you for the address of the image you wish to import - just paste in the address that you just copied, then press OK - you'll then see your image appear.

Then, to link that picture to a specific page - click and highlight the image, and click the 'Insert Link' icon on the toolbar (next to Insert Image) and write in the address of the page you wish to link to.

CAN I CHANGE THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS IN THE LISTING PAGE THAT BRIEFLY DESCRIBES MY PRODUCTS?
Go into your Admin Control Panel:
Store > Product Pages & Shopping Cart > Layout > Edit.  Change Product Description Number of Characters From 0-300 Characters.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE WIDTH OF MY WEB PAGES?
Go into your Admin Control Panel:
Website > Master Template Edit > Layout.  Change width in pixels as required.

WHAT IS THE DIFERANCE BETWEEN HITS AND PAGE VIEWS? 
Hits - The number of times a program or item of data has been accessed or matches some condition. For example, when you download a page from a Website, the page itself and all graphic elements that it contains each count as one hit to that Web site.  Therefore one page could be any number of hits.  If a site statistic report says you have received X number of hits this includes all graphics on each page.  Hits on a site are higher that Page Views. So don't be impressed by the guy in the pub bragging how many hits his site is receiving!
Page Views - A Web page, which can be of any length and can contain any number of graphic images. The HTML page itself and every image are each considered a hit. Thus, one page view is exactly that.  Carver site stats include Page Views.  A more accurate way of measuring your site.
