In a move to make the customer shopping experience more efficient, specifically when choosing products to purchase, Britnett-Carver owners can now, at their option, have an Add To Cart command link appear in each product listed on the Product Category index web pages.

With this option enabled, a customer can add desired items to their cart while perusing a product category index page; no need to click over to the product detail page first to get to the Add To Cart button for that product.

Here's one way this can look (image is scaled down):

Note that the Add To Cart command link is placed in the Description column.

What's more, the link can be just text, just an image, or a combination of both. The spacing between the link and the description text can be adjusted, and the alignment within the column - left, center, right - can be set as well.

Here's how it's all done.
  1. Go to Store > Product Pages & Shopping Cart > Layout.
  2. Scroll to the Product Index Web Pages section.
  3. There's a new subsection called Products Table: Add To Cart Command with settings that allow you to:

    • Turn the link on and off
    • Control the placement of the link in the product table Description column
    • Have just an Add To Cart text link, an Add To Cart image, or a combination of both
    • Upload your own Add To Cart image.
