If your clients (or your own) domain name IS NOT hosted with Britnett, then you’ll have to ask your outside domain provider to change the NS details for the domain to the following:

NS1.BRITNETT-CARVER2.CO.UK - 74.52.88.170

NS2.BRITNETT-CARVER2.CO.UK - 74.52.88.171

If your clients (or your own) domain name IS hosted with Britnett, then we can change them for you as we set up your Carver2 account.

As for when they are changed, you have 2 choices:

Change NS With Creation Of The Site

Britnett, you or your client will change NS straight away, and then we will create the Carver2 website with that domain. This means anyone can access the domain straight away and see the site through the associated stand alone domain name

Change NS Afterwards

Britnett will create the Carver2 site as normal with the Britnett-Carver2.co.uk extension, then when the site is ready; Britnett, you or your client will change the NS details. Once propagated we will re-code the site so it works with that stand alone domain name. To instigate this simply email support@britnett.co.uk to request. (Remember the NS need changing-see above). Identify yourself and give the Carver2 address so we can identify the account quickly for you. Allow 24 business hours for the domain name to propagate fully. Allow Britnett support one business day to process your order.

Managing E-mails:

If your clients have e-mails set up @ their Domain Name Host– you must find out what the domain hosts MX Record is – so we can point this back, so it won’t disrupt the clients e-mails.
