Epping Forest District Council is responsible for recycling and waste management in Chigwell.

Recycling Recycling sacks (clear recycling sacks) can be obtained from the Chigwell Parish Council Offices in Hainault Road, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 6QZ. Telelephone 020 8501 4275. We are open for the collection of sacks Monday to Friday between 9.30am - 3.00pm. If you need to collect sacks outside these times there are other outlets within the Parish which are shown below (we cannot, however, guarantee that they will have stock available at the time of your visit): Budgens Supermarket - Limes Avenue, Limes Farm, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 5NT.
Lambourne News - 149 Lambourne Road, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 6EJ.
L J Mead & Son - 19 Brook Parade Brook Parade, Chigwell, Essex IG7 6PF.

Polystyrene is the only type of rubbish that will be collected as side waste. The District Council realises it would be unrealistic to expect residents to dispose of it in their wheeled bin. Please note that Recycling Sites around the District can also take all of the above as well as batteries, paint, etc. Further information can be found on the District Council's website. |
