Osteopathy
Rachel Ives is a registered osteopath, who has been qualified since 1993 with a diploma in Osteopathy from The College of Osteopaths. Her twelve years in practice has exposed her to a wide range of challenging cases, and she uses a variety of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue techniques, passive joint articulation, some carefully applied manipulation of joints, as well as the cranial osteopathic approach. Rachel treats a diversity of patient groups, including babies and children, elderly patients and sports people.

Rachel’s first degree was in Biology from London University, which instilled the initial interest in the life sciences, which she developed further when she went on to study osteopathy, directly after University. As soon as she acquired her osteopathic qualification, she went straight back to osteopathic education in a teaching capacity. Rachel is now a senior lecturer and clinic tutor at The College of Osteopaths, which keeps her busy when she is not treating patients at HealthWise Natural Therapy Centre! Her interest in osteopathic education has developed even further in recent years and she has recently completed a Masters in Education Management at the University of Greenwich.
