Course Content

This course is designed to help practitioners examine approaches to measuring the effectiveness of the services they are involved in delivering and explore important ways that outcomes findings can contribute to improving  practice, service and project delivery.

Course Aim

To provide practitioners with the basic skills to measure the outcomes and impacts of their work and help them develop indicators to monitor progress and achievement.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Describe the national drivers that influence the service area they work within in terms of achieving the outcomes of the service.

• Identify the values, principles and strategic vision relating to the organisation they are employed within.

• Describe their own role, tasks & responsibilities relating to the achievement of the organisations values, principles and strategic vision

• Define concrete, measurable outcomes for the users of services within the organisation

• Identify a range of data-collection strategies

• Analyse and make use of outcomes findings

• Complete case study profile to report on outcome findings.
