Discover the wonders of natural wool

The magical powers of a Natural Wool Duvet

The Wool Room was born when some like-minded people got together to change the way that the world sees wool products.

Wool was becoming a forgotten material and we wanted to tell the world how amazing wool is! Over the last few decades farmers have been struggling to even cover the costs of shearing as demand for this precious fibre was shrinking to an all time low, with the breeding of 'woolless' sheep becoming a real threat. In 2010 wool began to regain the recognition it deserves- The Campaign for Wool, of which HRH Prince Charles is a patron, performed brilliantly in its aim to promote wool and raise the price that wool growers receive for their product. And 2011 looks set to be even bigger, as The Campaign for Wool goes global! Follow it's progress on. The Wool Room works closely with The Campaign, and also with Woolmark, to highlight and promote the amazing qualities of wool.

Wool is truly nature's miracle fibre. Its attributes for clothing and for home interior products are second to none and we passionately believe here at the Wool Room, that wool products can help us all live a better, healthier and happier life. We have an amazing wealth of knowledge about wool here at The Wool Room, just take a look at our Woolipedia site!

Wool is a natural, renewable and eco-friendly resource that has so many fabulous characteristics. There is a type of wool to suit just about any purpose, so much so that as a material it naturally out-performs in clothing, carpeting, inslation and especially bedding!
