What items do you print?
We print anything that requires ink on paper from business cards, postcards and flyers to full colour corporate brochures, folders and calendars.
Does my design have to be a certain size?
There are standard sizes for almost every print job; business cards are 2" x 3.5", letterhead is 8.5" x 11", and business envelopes are 4.125 x 9.5". We're happy to customise to whichever specs you like, but in some cases, a custom size can waste a lot of resources, increasing price and environmental impact.
How much difference does quantity make to the price?
With traditional printing, most of the cost is in the initial setup of machines and mixing ink. The more you print the more dramatic the decrease in the per piece price. Once our press is up and running, you just pay for the paper running through it! Digital printing can be more cost efficient for smaller print runs, so well always advise you on which method is best for you.
Can I use as many colours as I like?
A complete job can be created using only a single colour (such as black, or blue), or two or more. The limit depends only on your budget and design. We recommend one spot colour for a basic job, two spot colours for added visual effect, and three or four for complex projects and identities.
Four colour process printing uses combinations of cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow, and black to create a huge array of colours. This process allows printing in "full colour" for photos and projects requiring a large amount of colour variation.
How quickly can you turn something around?
Speed and price are directly linked. We will quote you a price for a standard print turnaround. If you need it quicker we will do it with pleasure but the price has to go up.
What formats do you need?
We can take most image formats for printing. We prefer high quality jpegs, tifs, Photoshop (psd) and Portable Network Graphics (png), eps. The higher the quality of your original images the better the print quality. Image resolution should be 300-600dpi minimum.
We cannot print directly from Microsoft Word, Publisher files, or .pdf files however we may be able to redraw a design that is sent in this format.
Ive got a rough idea of what I want; can you design it for me?
Yes we can - either a completely new design, a redesign based on something you already have, or a redraw of a design that is not of a suitable quality for printing.
